Day 11: Play Time...

Can you believe it, eleven days blogging???
Yesterday I shared my newly organized creative space, of course I had to break in today.
The only problem... I woke up with high fever and my body is in so much pain.
Had some meds and felt better for a while, and the fun began.
Dylusions  spray inks came out first, added some details with a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop called Mini Doodles Flowers.
Then white acrylic paint was added with a brayer and everything was dried with a heat gun.
I was ready to doodle, yes, I have so much fun while doodling, it is so calming. My idea came together with a sketch and I could see this cute girl standing there and then the fever came back and I couldn't continue...
Some of the stuff I used!
My very rough sketch, sorry for the paper I had the idea and grabbed the first thing that I had at hands reach. I am feeling she will be a collage of some sort, not sure yet.
And just so you see it, I cleaned after myself, before going to bed.
Hope you had some creative time today!
Big hug and lots of positive energy!

Day 9: Organizing...

I have been inspired by all those sharing their crafting space.
This week has been crazy with Design Team projects and painting and other fun things.
OK, I'll be brave and share my creative space... oh my...
There are some rules:

  1. Don't laugh at my lack of organization. I've tried everything and it works for two days and then disaster  strikes.
  2. Remember to breathe while you look at every corner of my space. Sometimes I am amazed that any art get created here.
  3. Don't panic, I do create over the desk, it is just that during the week I keep making things and leaving all the supplies there to put away later.
  4. Send positive energy my way, because I will be trying to organize everything again in a more functional way.

I will post pictures of the after, so remember to come back.
Big hug and lots of positive energy!

Day 8: Work in progress...

Today I had fun creating!!!!
Art journal opened, paints flowing, stamps, markers and lots of fun.
This page is not finished but it has a lot done. Still need to add shadows, a defined nose and add all those little details that make one happy.
Made this background, now I have to decide where to go from here.
And a sketch was born, lots of work needed on this one.
I am waiting patiently for my new Golden Fluid Acrylic paints to arrive, well not so patiently, but what else can I do.
Hope you all have a creative and fun filled day!
Big hug and lots of positive energy!

Day 7: Meditation...

After a rough day at work, I arrived home and just wanted to relax.
Read a little about angels, lighted a candle and incense, played some music and entered this amazing meditative stage.
Meditation is a big part of my healing process, I've been practicing it for many years and it totally centers me. The peace that I feel after a mediation exercise is the most amazing feeling.
I will take the rest of the day to enjoy this sense of calm.
If you have never practiced meditation, you should try it.
Please enjoy this meditation music video:
Big hug and lots of positive energy!

Day 6: Dreams...

It was a hard day at work and I am so tired.
My body is in pain, my back hurts and my head is going to explode... and those are the good news.
All of that, will go away as soon as I have a nice cup of tea and rest.
Now to the real reason why I am so tired: I have been working on the Inner Excavation project with Effy and it is kind of waking up, so many dreams I had, and that I had hidden somewhere in my mind, in my heart, in my soul...
As a child I believed that everything was possible. I thought that I could do anything and I could be whatever I wanted to be. Yes, I noticed, too many I's in the last sentence...
What happened?
Why didn't I follow those dreams?
Is it to late????
Don't get me wrong, I did achieve some dreams, but were those dreams really mine?
I wanted to be an art or literature teacher, instead I am an engineer. I love what I do, but my heart tells me that I would have been happier as a teacher.
I dreamed of having an art studio, today I have a small space in my family room, where I constantly have to move things around in order to make space for new projects. No, I am not happy, but, I am thankful that I have this space.
There are so many things that I haven't done and during this process I've begun to ask myself: Will I ever realize those dreams?
I guess this is a day by day process and the answers will come.
My dreams are here, they are part of me and I will not let them go hiding again.
The inner excavation continues, the self discovery continues... I will find myself.
Hope you like my art journal page. I think and doodle, it is a fun therapy.

Hugs,
Julia
